The unique processing style of this producer results in an elegant and subtle whole leaf tea. Soft vegetal notes of spinach and fresh cut grass lead into a sweet finish of meyer lemon. Warmer brews highlight the quintessential Japanese umami notes while cooler brews bring out more of the citrus notes often found in Nepali oolongs.
Pathivara Tea estate is located 2000 masl, making it the highest altitude garden in the Himalayan mountains. This high altitude and the low yearly temperature in addition to a wealth of biodiversity enable this producer to create singular and noteworthy teas. The dedication to producing only specialty grade tea and the passion for quality ensure this farm's consistency.
